Dr. Jacki Dantzler was born and raised in Santa Cruz, where she spent most of her life riding horses, training and competing. She studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2019. She received her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and her certification in Veterinary Western Herbal Medicine through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT). Prior to establishing Santa Cruz Veterinary Acupuncture in 2023, Dr. Dantzler worked as a small animal general practitioner in Santa Cruz and Houston, TX.
Dr. Dantzler loves being able to improve the quality of life of animals with chronic disease, especially her geriatric patients. She has seen some truly amazing improvements using acupuncture and evidence-based herbal medicine.
Since Dr. Dantzler sees many animals coming to the end of their lives, she also provides euthanasia services when disease has progressed beyond help, so that your animal can pass away peacefully in the comfort of their own home.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Dantzler loves to spend time outside with her husband and daughter!
